Who owns The Plough?
The Plough is a community-owned pub, rescued and reopened in 2021.It is operated as a non-profit for community benefit, managed by a volunteer Management Committee on behalf of local shareholders.
Who runs the pub day-to-day?
The pub is run by a team of professional staff who manage daily operations, supported by volunteers and the Management Committee behind the scenes.
Can I become a shareholder or make a donation?

Are you open every day?
Yes. We’re open seven days a week. Current opening hours are shown at the bottom of this page

What type of food do you serve?
High-quality, great-value British pub food with Mediterranean influences and seasonal specials, prepared from fresh ingredients.
Do you use local ingredients?
We use local Hampshire produce wherever we are able, balancing sustainability with viability.
Do you offer vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free options?
Yes. We provide vegetarian and gluten-free dishes, and can often adapt recipes for other dietary needs.
Do you serve gluten-free beer or low/zero alcohol drinks?
Yes. We stock gluten-free beer and a range of low- and zero-alcohol products.
What real ales do you sell?
We feature rotating real ales from local Hampshire breweries including Bowmans, Flowerpots, Triple fff, and Alfred’s.

Do I need to book a table?
Booking is recommended, especially at busy times.

Yes. Our River Room can be reserved for private celebrations or corporate meetings.
Dogs
Are dogs welcome?
Absolutely! Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome in the bar and garden.
Do you serve treats for dogs?
Yes. Dogs can enjoy Sunday roast dinners for dogs, doggy ice cream, and complimentary dog treats.
Getting Here
Is there parking?
Yes, we have an on-site car park.
Can camper-vans stay overnight?
Yes, we welcome up to three camper-vans overnight (no hook-up). Please call in advance to reserve a space. The Plough is listed on BritStops.
Are there local walks nearby?
Yes. The Test Way passes through our grounds and there are several local circular walks.
